Ningaloo Caravan and Holiday Resort is located on the main road into Exmouth, adjacent to the Cape Range National Park and west of the Northwest Coastal Highway. The resort is a short distance from the town centre, opposite the Ningaloo Visitor Centre. We’re just a short walk away from the local hospital, pharmacy, bank, news agency, cafes and supermarket.
Exmouth is situated approximately 1,270 km north of Perth.
The quickest and easiest way to get here is to fly. But if you have the time, we recommend driving. The route from Perth to Exmouth offers a truly unforgettable Aussie road trip experience. With a driving distance in excess of 1,200 km, you’ll need to break up the trip with some stops along the way.
To reach Exmouth by car, it takes between 12-13 hours. But don’t let that faze you! There’s so much to see and do between Perth and Exmouth. Make the most of your time on the road, break up the journey and check out what else Australia’s Coral Coast has to offer. Places like Carnarvon, Monkey Mia, World Heritage-listed Shark Bay, Kalbarri, and Geraldton are must-see destinations in their own right.
It’s just a short two-hour flight into Learmonth Airport. So, you’ll be here in next to no time.
The distance from Learmonth Airport to Exmouth is 37 km. It takes approximately 23 minutes to reach town from the airport. There’s a shuttle bus service, although you will need to book in advance.
Dogs are welcome in the camping and caravan sites. Dog sites are limited in numbers, so check before booking. Pets are not allowed in or around any of the accommodation areas, including our chalets and Winston’s Backpacker Lodge.
The local Exmouth Town Beach is just 1 km from Ningaloo Caravan and Holiday Resort. The beach is a safe place to swim, even with children. It’s a popular spot for fishing and windsurfing too.

Accommodation options range from studio chalets that sleep two people to two and three-bedroom chalets and park homes. We also have 250 powered caravan and camping sites and 40 unpowered sites. Backpacker style accommodation is available too.
Guests have the option to re-use towels and can opt-out of daily room cleaning. We offer paperless check-ins unless a paper copy of the receipt is requested.
Yes, we do. The resort has four wireless Internet hotspots to help you stay connected on your holiday. Don’t forget to share some photos on your social media accounts to make all your friends and family back home jealous!
Yes, you can. There is free on-site private parking for resort guests. One car per site policy, reservations are required.
We have tried to make the resort as wheelchair friendly as possible. We also have an award-winning accessible chalet with wheelchair access. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about wheelchair accessibility.

Guests can check into our accommodation from 14:00. Site check ins are available from 11:00. Guests must check out by 10:00 on the day of departure.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS. However, our booking site does not accept American Express or Diners Club credit cards. If you wish to pay by either of these methods, please call the resort directly and we can process your payment.
Note: A payment processing fee is added to card payments.
Refunds are only given to bookings in full that are unable to attend due to circumstances out of their control (government restrictions). Customers that are still within the cancellation period of 28 days and who wish to cancel their booking, the amount paid will be refunded less the cancellation fee.

Since taking over Ningaloo Caravan and Holiday Resort in early 2021, we have implemented a series of upgrades across the resort. Improvements include a new camp kitchen and BBQ area. The amenities have also been renovated, and we are invested in improving the park within the near future.
Apart from chill out and enjoy the glorious sunshine? So much! Exmouth is an adventure playground for all sorts of water-based activities, such as swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding, surfing and kayaking. You can book tours to swim with whale sharks or see humpback whales. Exmouth is a nature lover’s paradise. Check out the walking trails in Cape Range National Park. Nearby Ningaloo Reef has some of the best dive sites in the world. We also have the most beautiful beaches in Western Australia, if not the whole of Australia.

The gentle giants of the ocean are known to congregate along the Ningaloo Reef from mid-March to August. If you’re visiting the area specifically to swim with whale sharks, you’ll need to time your visit accordingly.
There really isn’t a best time because Exmouth has so much to offer all year round. We’re blessed with beautiful weather, with a semi-arid climate. More often than not, it’s dry, hot and dusty. During the summer months (December to February), the average maximum temperature is 37°C with an average minimum temperature of 20°C. December and January tend to be the hottest months, with temperatures often reaching 40°C. In the winter months (June to August), the average maximum temperature is 25°C with an average minimum temperature of 11°C.
